Primary Concern: Work Zones

Federal lands must maintain their infrastructure, including the roads, walkways and other facilities within their jurisdiction. Image 1 shows an example of a sign indicating that the road is closed ahead, while Image 2 shows an RV going by a "barrel" separating the roadway from a construction area.

The potential solutions to this issue including having the infrastructure in place to provide alternate routes, or to use ITS and policy solutions to inform motorists/tourists/visitors of work zones (construction areas).
