  1.1 Do the gateway communities surrounding the Federal land experience visitor-related traffic congestion?
  1.1.1 Are the motorists well informed of roadway conditions in and around communities leading into the Federal land?
  1.1.1.1 Are there sources of travel information for motorists who are planning a trip to the Federal Land ?
1.1.1.2 Is there information available to motorists when they reach the gateway community?
1.1.1.3 Do motorists have the opportunity to receive travel information in their vehicle through the vehicle's radio or by cell phone?

6.2.3 Would it be beneficial to close certain routes during certain times when animals are moving (crossing the roadways) more frequently?

  7.1.1 Are motorists sufficiently informed of the weather and road conditions en-route to the Federal land (through signs or the 5-1-1 information number)?
7.1.2 Are there safety measures (such as "road closure gates") to warn motorist or restrict their travel due to dangerous weather and road conditions en-route to the Federal land?
7.2 Does the Federal land have problems with weather-related issues (such as road closures due to heavy snowfalls, mudslides, or flooding)?
  7.2.1 Does the Federal land have regulations to reduce the number or type of vehicles entering areas that are subject to severe weather events such as flooding, mudslides, avalanches, etc.?
7.2.2 Does the Federal land have measures to track its employees during poor weather in the event of an accident or emergency (such as Automatic Vehicle Location "AVL" technology)?
7.2.3 Are there other transportation options that would allow visitors to enjoy the Federal land during inclement weather or conditions that make typical transportation difficult (such as snow coaches, or the use of alternate routes)?
