Architect / Engineering (A/E) Procurement

This section provides consultants with general information on Central Federal Lands Highway Division (CFLHD) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for A/E services. The general process that the Federal Government utilizes to procure these services is included on the "How To" page.  We are currently evaluating our A/E program to determine if there is a need for additional capacity.  We will post more information on this webpage, including information on any possible future procurements, when the evaluation is complete.

Our A/E contracts operate/support efforts in Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Neveda, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming. Contracts are generally awarded for a performance period of 5 years and involve improvements to low-volume and low-speed roadways ranging from 3R (resurfacing, restoration and rehabilitation) to full reconstruction. Transportation engineering services include all pertinent highway work needed to conduct planning, scoping, preliminary and final design to prepare contract documents in support of several federally funded programs administered by CFLHD.

Notice to Prospective Offerors: Marketing your firm in advance of, during, or after our solicitation and award process does not give any form of advantage for selection of IDIQ or Task Order Awards. As a Federal office we conduct A/E acquisitions in accordance with the Federal Acquisitions Regulation 36.6, Transportation Acquisition Regulation 1236.6 and Transportation Acquisition Manual 1236.6. There are strict processes and guidelines that we must follow for solicitation, selection, and award of A/E contracts.
